Temporality and the universality of emotions are at the heart of many of Lehmann’s works. As a contemporary Nouveau Realist, Frank Serge Lehmann collects and reuses discarded or abandoned objects to give them a new meaning, sometimes parodic, sometimes poetic. In an immersive or playful way, the objects are repurposed to confront us with our own feelings in the face of changing social ties, globalization and the value attached to art.
